App launcher

After signing in, every person sees one screen with the Oxonia products they can use. Nothing more, nothing less.

What the launcher does

The app launcher is the first screen after sign-in with the Oxonia Academy ID. It holds a tile for each Oxonia product the person can open, from Oxonia Scribe and Oxonia Tutor to Oxonia Senate and Oxonia Compass.

It is the same launcher on a laptop, a tablet and a phone.

Only what you have bought

The launcher shows only the products the university has bought. A university that starts with Oxonia Mark for one department sees Mark and nothing else. When it adds Oxonia Scribe or a full suite, the new tiles appear for the right people on the same day.

This keeps the screen simple. Staff are not shown products they cannot use, and there are no locked tiles or upgrade prompts in front of students.

Only what your role allows

Each tile also respects the person's role. The platform has five roles: leader, admin, lecturer, student and researcher. For example:

  • A student sees Scribe, Tutor, AI Hub and Wallet, and Mark when results are released.
  • A lecturer sees Scribe, Tutor, Mark and Library reading lists.
  • A Registrar or Bursar sees Compass, Senate, Nexus, Office and Advance views.
  • A researcher sees Research and Library.

Products are grouped by the suite they belong to, so people find their work quickly:

Approvals and tasks follow you

The launcher is also where people see what is waiting for them. Leaders see the approvals inbox from Oxonia Compass: results, returns, spending and policies. Staff see actions from Oxonia Office. Each item opens the product it came from.

In your language

The launcher is available in more than 15 languages, including English, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo, and so are most product screens. Oxonia Mark, Research and Library are in English, French, Portuguese and Arabic, and Oxonia Nexus is in English for now. Each person can choose their own language. See Languages.
