One console
University admin console
The university's IT and admin team run every Oxonia product from one console. There is no separate admin screen for each product.
One place for the whole platform
Oxonia is sold as five suites, but it is one platform. The university admin console is where the IT team and the system owners set it up and keep it running. Everything below is managed from the same screens.
What admins manage
- Sign-in. Link the Oxonia Academy ID to Microsoft, Google or SAML and Shibboleth.
- People and roles. Give each person one or more of the five roles: leader, admin, lecturer, student and researcher. See Roles and permissions.
- Products. See which products the university has, for which departments, and what the app launcher shows.
- AI credits. Watch and share the university's AI credit wallet, or connect the university's own AI keys. See Shared AI credits and Bring your own AI keys.
- Integrations. Connect Moodle, Canvas or Blackboard through LTI 1.3.
- Seats and add-ons. See staff seats, Scribe hours and Mark script packs used so far.
Faculties and departments
Most universities start with one department, often on a department starter plan, and then grow. The console lets admins add faculties and departments as they join, so that each department's lecturers and students get the right products.
Department-level starter plans are available for Scribe, Tutor, Mark, Office and Research. When a university moves to a full plan, the same console carries on.
Approvals stay with people
The admin console does not change Oxonia's core rule. Anything that becomes an official record, such as marks, minutes and policies, waits for a named person to approve it. Admins decide who those people are. They cannot switch the approval step off.
Keeping track
Admins can see who changed what in the console and when. This helps with internal audit and with questions from the regulator. See Audit logs and Access controls and 2FA.
Who should use it
Most universities give console access to a small group: the IT lead, an identity or systems administrator, and one owner per suite, such as the Registrar for Operate or the Librarian for Library. Everyone else uses the products, not the console.
Onboarding and data import are available from £5,000. Ask about them when you book a demo.
