Ministries of education

Ministries that fund many public universities can use Oxonia to raise teaching, assessment and governance standards across the system.

Who this is for

Ministries of education, higher education commissions and similar bodies that support many public universities. Oxonia serves universities in the UK, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, the Gulf and Malaysia. National programmes are priced by quote.

What a national programme can cover

  • Teaching. Lectures captured in Oxonia Scribe with live captions in students' own languages, and study packs within minutes.
  • Tutorials at scale. Oxonia Tutor gives every student a live tutorial, in many languages, including Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Arabic, French and Portuguese.
  • Fair assessment. Oxonia Mark marks scripts against approved rubrics, with evidence for every mark and a named examiner's approval.
  • Governance. Oxonia Senate and Oxonia Policy for Council, Senate and AI governance.
  • Reporting. Oxonia Nexus for regulator returns and accreditation readiness.
  • Fees and retention. Oxonia Advance and Wallet to collect fees and find students at risk of leaving over money.

Built for national conditions

  • Exam booklets scanned by phone, even offline.
  • Board packs read offline.
  • Most product screens in English, French, Portuguese and Arabic, and many also in Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo and more. Oxonia Nexus is in English for now. See Languages.
  • In-country hosting as an add-on. See Data residency.
  • Payment by card, Paystack, bank transfer, or invoice and purchase order.

Each university stays in charge

In a national programme, each university keeps its own sign-in, its own roles, its own data and its own approvals. A ministry can fund and coordinate without taking over a university's records. What a ministry can see, for example agreed summary figures, is set out in the agreement.

Starting a programme

  1. Agree goals with the ministry and a small group of universities.
  2. Show Oxonia working in departments at those universities, starting with a demo for each.
  3. Review results together.
  4. Agree pricing and phasing for the wider system, by quote.

Illustrative outcomes a ministry might track

These are examples of what Oxonia is built for, not results from any programme:

  • More students able to follow lectures in their own language.
  • Shorter time from exam to released results, with every mark approved by a named examiner.
  • Regulator returns submitted on time, signed by the Vice-Chancellor.
  • Approved AI policies in place at every university.
