Payments
Paystack
Paystack is one of the ways students, guardians and sponsors can pay fees in Oxonia Wallet. Universities can also use it to pay for Oxonia.
Fees on the student's phone
Oxonia Wallet is part of Oxonia Advance. Students, guardians and sponsors see the balance, pay by card or transfer, follow payment plans and apply for scholarships.
Paystack is one of the payment routes available, alongside card and bank transfer. Payments come with instant receipts.
For the Bursar
Oxonia Advance gives the Bursar a live view of fees: bills, plans, reminders and receipts. It also finds students likely to drop out over money and matches them to scholarships and hardship support.
See Oxonia Operate.
For guardians and sponsors
Many students' fees are paid by a parent, guardian or sponsor. Wallet lets them see what is paid and what is due next, and pay in a few taps, without visiting the bursary.
Paying for Oxonia
Universities can pay for Oxonia itself by card, Paystack, bank transfer, or invoice and purchase order. In Nigeria, Oxonia is priced at 35% of the UK price, in naira. See Nigeria pricing.
Setting it up
The university's finance team and ours agree how Wallet payments reach the university's account. An admin then switches Wallet on for students in the university admin console. Wallet is included with Oxonia Advance.
Records and audit
Payments and receipts stay linked to the student's record, so the Bursar can see who has paid, who is on a plan and who needs help. See Audit logs for how changes are recorded.
Common questions
Can students pay in instalments? Yes. Oxonia Wallet supports payment plans and instalments, and shows what is due next.
Does Wallet cost extra? No. Oxonia Wallet is included with Oxonia Advance.
Can sponsors pay for more than one student? How sponsors are set up is agreed with the bursary during onboarding. Ask about it when you book a demo.
For many families and sponsors, paying from a phone is easier than visiting a bank or the bursary. Wallet is built for that. It shows the balance in plain words, sends reminders before payments are due and gives an instant receipt after each payment.
