Mobile apps
Much of a university's work happens away from a desk. Oxonia is built so the important parts work on a phone, and some work even offline.
Designed for phones first
Students follow lectures on their phones. Exams officers scan scripts in the exam hall. Council members read papers on the way to a meeting. Oxonia is designed for each of these moments, using the same Oxonia Academy ID as the desktop.
For students
- Live lectures. Join an Oxonia Scribe live room by QR code, follow captions in your own language and answer polls.
- Revision. Summary, mind map, quiz and audio recap after each lecture.
- Tutorials. Talk through your essay with Oxonia Tutor by voice or in writing.
- Fees. Oxonia Wallet shows the balance, takes card or bank transfer payments and instalments, and lets you apply for scholarships.
See Oxonia Learn.
For lecturers and the exams office
- Scan with a phone. Oxonia Mark photographs handwritten booklets, even offline. Pages are straightened, split and matched to students.
- Class insights. See who is struggling and on which topic.
- Review queue. Only the uncertain scripts reach people.
See Oxonia Teach.
For leaders and Council
- Boardroom app. Oxonia Senate members read and annotate packs on a phone or tablet, even offline, and vote in the app.
- Approvals on the phone. Sign off results, returns and spending from the Oxonia Compass approvals inbox.
- Weekly brief. Every Monday, what changed and what needs a decision, with sources.
See Oxonia Lead.
For guardians and sponsors
Guardians and sponsors can pay fees and follow payment plans in Oxonia Wallet, with instant receipts. Payment options include card, bank transfer and, where it applies, Paystack.
Getting the apps
Your university tells you how to get Oxonia on your phone when it switches products on. Store listings and supported device versions are [to be confirmed]. Sign in with your usual university account. See Sign in.
Common questions
Do I need a new account for the phone? No. Use the same Oxonia Academy ID you use on a laptop, through your university's sign-in.
What works offline? Scanning exam booklets in Oxonia Mark and reading and annotating board packs in the Senate boardroom app both work offline. They sync when the device is back online.
Can I approve marks on my phone? Leaders can sign off results, returns and spending from the approvals inbox. A named person still makes each approval.
