What the integration does

Oxonia connects to Moodle using LTI 1.3, the open standard for adding tools to a learning platform. Once connected:

• Course rosters sync, so the right students see the right lectures.
• Links to Oxonia appear inside Moodle courses.
• Oxonia Scribe study packs sync to the course: summary, key moments, mind map, quiz and audio recap.

For lecturers

Lecturers keep working in the Moodle course they already know. They press record in Oxonia Scribe, and the study pack appears for their students. Students can open Oxonia Tutor tutorials with the same account.

For students

Students open Oxonia from their Moodle course and sign in with their usual university account through the Oxonia Academy ID. They do not need another password. Captions, revision and tutorials are one click from the course page.

For the IT team

The connection is set up once by an admin in the university admin console and in Moodle. The Moodle site stays the place where courses live. Oxonia adds lecture capture, tutorials and marking without replacing it.

If you also use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for sign-in, students use the same account in both.

Getting started

1. Book a demo and tell us which version of Moodle you run.
2. Agree a quote for the products and departments you need, starting with one department if you prefer.
3. Your IT team and ours connect Moodle through LTI 1.3.
4. Lecturers record their first lectures and students see study packs in Moodle.

Other learning platforms

Oxonia also works with Canvas and Blackboard in the same way. If your university uses more than one, they can all connect.

Common questions

Does Oxonia replace Moodle? No. Moodle stays the home of your courses. Oxonia adds lecture capture, study packs, tutorials and marking.

Do students need another password? No. They sign in with their usual university account through the Oxonia Academy ID.

Can one department start first? Yes. Department starter plans exist for Scribe, Tutor and Mark.
