Oxonia Teach: Lectures, Tutorials and Marking in One
Teaching is one job, not three. Oxonia Teach links lectures, tutorials and marking so each step informs the next.
Who Oxonia Teach is for
Oxonia Teach is the suite for the people who teach and assess. That means lecturers, tutors, heads of department and external examiners. It covers the whole cycle of a module, from the first lecture to the exam board.
Most universities already use separate tools for recording, quizzes, tutorials and marking. Each has its own login and its own data. Lecturers copy marks between systems and lose sight of how one part of the course affects another.
Oxonia Teach puts three products on one platform with one Oxonia Academy ID: Scribe for lectures, Tutor for tutorials and Mark for exams.
The suite also includes Library for past papers, theses and reading lists. Library is free with Mark University plans.
Lectures with Scribe
Scribe records lectures and shows live captions that students can switch into their own language. It prepares summaries, key moments, mind maps, quizzes with spaced repetition, study packs and audio recaps. Lecturers can run live rooms and polls during class.
Class insights show which topics students struggled with. A lecturer sees this within days, not at the end of term. Scribe syncs with Moodle, Canvas and Blackboard and supports LTI.
Students who miss a class, or who follow better in another language, can catch up properly rather than copying a friend's notes. Lecturers can check every summary and quiz before it is released.
Tutorials with Tutor
Tutor gives students Oxford-style tutorials in writing or by live voice. Students can also practise a viva, a debate or a moot. Sam, an Ai enabled fellow student, joins in and sometimes cuts in.
Each student gets a detailed report. The lecturer gets a class overview that shows shared misunderstandings. Many lecturers link a Tutor topic to each week's lecture, so students practise while the material is fresh.
Heads of department use the overview to see which modules need more support. External examiners can see how students were prepared, not just what they wrote on the day.
Tutor works in writing for careful reasoning and by voice for speaking practice. Students who are shy in seminars often find it easier to rehearse alone first, then speak up in class with more confidence. The lecturer sees who has taken part and who may need a nudge.
Exams with Mark
Mark marks handwritten and online exams to a rubric. Each mark quotes the words that earned it and carries a confidence score. Only uncertain, illegible, borderline or integrity-flagged scripts go to a person first. A named examiner approves every script.
Mark also handles moderation, appeals, the results broadsheet, the Senate results pack and item analysis. With a Mark University plan, Library is included free, so past papers sit next to the marking.
This changes the shape of exam season. Examiners spend their time on the scripts that need judgement. The exams office gets a broadsheet that is already checked. Students get feedback per question, not just a grade.
How the three work together
The value comes from the links. A lecture in Scribe leads to a quiz. Quiz results show a weak topic. The lecturer sets a Tutor session on that topic. Tutor reports confirm whether students now understand. Exam item analysis in Mark shows whether the teaching held.
- One login for staff and students through the Oxonia Academy ID
- Access set by role: lecturer, student, admin
- One AI credit wallet shared across products, or your university's own AI keys
- Every Ai enabled answer cites its sources
- Nothing becomes an official record until a person adopts it
Students reach the same tools through Oxonia Learn. That is why Teach and Learn are usually bought together.
Because every product shares the same records, there is no copying of marks or class lists between tools. A student who joins late appears everywhere at once. A module that changes lecturer keeps its history, its quizzes and its tutorial tasks, so the new lecturer starts with a full picture rather than an empty folder.
What each role sees
Each person sees what their role needs. The university buys the suite, and access follows what it buys.
- Lecturers record lectures, set tutorial tasks, mark exams and see class insights for their own modules.
- Tutors review Tutor reports and support students who need help.
- Heads of department see insights and overviews across the department's modules and can spot where support is thin.
- External examiners review marked scripts, evidence, moderation records and item analysis.
- Admins manage users, LMS connections and settings from the university admin console.
Leaders can see teaching figures alongside other data in Compass, if the university also buys Oxonia Lead. Every number links back to its source, so a dean can check where a figure came from.
Pricing and getting started
The Teach & Learn package for a university with 5,000 to 15,000 students costs £88,000 a year. That is 20% off buying the products one by one. Three-year contracts take a further 10% off. Universities that want everything can choose Oxonia Complete at 30% off.
Start small if you prefer. Each product has a Department plan for a single department or office. Read our package guide or go to pricing.
A common path is to start Scribe or Mark in one department for a term, review the results with the head of department, then extend to a faculty and finally to the whole university. Department plans can be upgraded to a University plan when you are ready, so the work done in that first department carries straight over.
| Product | Department plan | Up to 5,000 students |
|---|---|---|
| Scribe | £4,900 | £24,000 |
| Tutor | £6,000 | £30,000 |
| Mark | £3,100 (or £0.12 per script) | £15,000 |
| Library | Free with Mark University plans | £6,000 |
