Oxonia Pricing Guide: How to Choose the Right Package

Oxonia pricing is simple once you know three things: your student numbers, which suites you need and how long you want to commit.

How Oxonia pricing works

Oxonia Academy prices each product by the number of students at the university, per year, in pounds sterling. There are three bands: up to 5,000 students, 5,000 to 15,000 and 15,000 to 40,000. Universities with more than 40,000 students get a quote.

You pay yearly, and a yearly plan costs the same as 10 months. You can pay by card, Paystack, bank transfer or invoice and purchase order. Universities in Nigeria pay 35% of the UK price, billed in naira.

There are three ways to save. Buy a full suite and save 20%. Buy Oxonia Complete, which includes every product, and save 30%. Sign a 3-year contract and save a further 10% on top.

Before any of that, book a demo. Seeing a product working on your own use cases is the best way to judge whether it fits before you commit.

Two examples show how this works. A university with 4,000 students pays the prices in the first band. A university with 22,000 students pays the prices in the third band. If student numbers move into a new band, the price changes at the next renewal.

Product prices at a glance

Each product has a University plan at the three size bands. Some also have a Department plan for a single department or office. The table below sets out every price.

Two details are worth noting. Mark can also be bought pay as you go, at £0.12 per script, which suits a single exam or a small cohort. Library is free with Mark University plans, so a university buying Mark gets Library at no extra cost.

AI Hub comes with Policy, and the Wallet app comes with Advance. They are not priced separately.

Prices cover the whole university at the chosen size band. There is no extra charge per member of staff, so adding more lecturers or administrators does not change the price.

The five suite packages

Most universities buy suites rather than single products. A suite package costs 20% less than its products bought separately. For a university with 5,000 to 15,000 students, the packages cost:

  • Teach & Learn: £88,000 a year. Scribe, Tutor and Mark, with Library free. See Oxonia Teach.
  • Lead: £52,000 a year. Senate, Policy, Compass and Nexus. See Oxonia Lead.
  • Operate: £34,400 a year. Office and Advance. See Oxonia Operate.
  • Discover: £20,000 a year. Library and Research. See Oxonia Discover.
  • Oxonia Complete: £163,800 a year. Every product, at 30% off.

Teach and Learn are sold together because they are two sides of the same products: lecturers use them in Teach, and students use them in Learn.

Which package fits which priority

Start from your most pressing problem, not from the product list.

  • If students struggle to keep up, or many study in a second language, start with Teach & Learn.
  • If exam marking is the bottleneck, start with Mark, perhaps pay as you go.
  • If governance, AI policy or regulator returns are the worry, start with Lead.
  • If offices drown in paper and fees are hard to collect, start with Operate.
  • If research is the priority, start with Discover.

Many universities then add a second suite in year two. Because every suite shares the same Oxonia Academy ID and admin console, adding one does not mean starting again. It also means Compass grows more useful as each new product feeds it.

When Oxonia Complete makes sense

Oxonia Complete includes every product at 30% off. For a university with 5,000 to 15,000 students, it costs £163,800 a year. It suits universities that want one platform for the whole institution from the start.

A useful test: if you plan to buy three or more suites within two years, compare the total with Oxonia Complete. The difference between 20% and 30% off, plus the simplicity of one contract, often makes Complete the better choice.

Add a 3-year contract and the price falls by a further 10%. As an example calculation, Oxonia Complete for a mid-size university would then cost £147,420 a year.

Complete also makes the most of the shared platform. Compass gets figures from every product, approvals from every product reach one inbox and every member of staff and every student uses one Oxonia Academy ID for everything.

Starting small

Not every university is ready for a full suite. Department plans let one department start at a lower price: Scribe at £4,900, Tutor at £6,000, Mark at £3,100, Office at £4,800 and Research at £5,000 a year.

Many universities begin with one department. Choose it, set a few clear goals and review the results with the head of department and a senior leader. If it works, move to a Department plan or straight to a University plan.

Work done on a Department plan carries over. Recordings, quizzes, marked scripts and records stay in place when you upgrade.

Pay as you go is another low-risk start for exams. At £0.12 per script, an exams office can run Mark on one paper, compare the experience with the old process and decide whether to move to a plan.

Next steps

To get an exact price, you need your student numbers and the suites you want. Universities over 40,000 students, or those with unusual structures such as several campuses, should ask for a quote.
